The sDRYBIN A drying bins are equipped with an intelligent and independent control system. The series consists of drying bins with a volume from 15 to 2400 litres. This series can be flexibly combined with the sDRY MM / MD drying system, which can be flexibly extended or reduced at any time with additional drying bins.

Independent drying bins for flexible combinations.

Thanks to the modular design, the sDRYBIN A can be flexibly combined with drying bins of various sizes from 15 to 2400 litres. The integrated control system built into each drying bin enables easy expansion to meet changing production requirements.

Independent modules for local control.

Each drying bin has its own microprocessor control and can be connected to the sNET network. This means that each bin is an independent unit, ensuring uninterrupted operation of the entire drying system.

The drying bins have various communication interfaces that can be used to integrate other ancillaries such as material loaders, dosing & mixing equipment and suction boxes.

Intelligent full colour touch screen display

Real-time detection and adjustment of material status.

Each sDRYBIN A is equipped with a full colour touch screen display. Drying data is shown in real-time. This makes it easy and convenient to set the drying bin’s parameters directly.

Transparent protective cover

Protection for the full colour touch screen display.

Each touch full colour screen display is fitted with a transparent protective cover. This protects the display without obstructing the view of the data.

Air flow control

Automatic air flow control in real-time.

The sDRYBIN A drying bin is equipped with automatic air flow control (AFC) as standard. AFC is able to automatically regulate the amount of drying air according to the material throughput to prevent over or under drying of the plastic granulate. This effectively protects the material and saves energy.

Initial drying time is reduced

Fresh cold undried material is automatically detected. The drying air volume is initially increased to bring the material to condition more quickly.

Blanketing function

More reliable production and energy savings.

The drying bin is kept under positive pressure with dry process air. This prevents the material in the bin reabsorbing moisture.

Essential for correctly dried material.

The ratio between the height and diameter of a drying bin is critical to how a material flows through the bin. Incorrect mass flow can lead to "dead" corners where the material is over dried or the material will flow too quickly through the middle of the bin resulting in under dried material. The optimum dimensions of motan sDRYBIN A are determined by calculation and practical tests, guaranteeing correctly dried material is delivered to your processing machine.

Designed for reliability and a long life.

All sDRYBIN A are made of stainless steel and are completely insulated including the bin cone. The bins are mounted on solid frames and have a control box mounted at the front of the bin for optimum accessibility. The long-life solid state relays guarantee precise and reliable temperature control that does not damage thermally-sensitive materials.

Large clean out door

Easy access and quick clean down.

The sDRYBIN A from 100 to 2400 litres are equipped with especially large cleanout doors fitted with a sight glass and easy-to-open quick release handles. They fit the shape of the bin in order to optimise material flow and simplify cleaning. In addition, they have a split hinged lid for easy access from above.

Integration into the conveying system

Intelligent material handling system.

By communicating with the conveying control system sCONVEY control, the sDRYBIN A drying bin can be integrated into the material handling system.

This ensures, for example, that only sufficiently dried material is fed to the processing machines.
